On March 6, 2025, the ISRA Institute of the Thai Press Development Foundation visited the Robotics Laboratory at the Institute of Science and Technology (IST), VISTEC. During the visit, our research students, Mr. Thirawat Chuthong (PhD student) and Mr. Chayapol Hansanelak (Master’s student), delivered engaging talks about the principles behind building efficient robots inspired by nature.
They explained how researchers observe simple yet highly optimized systems in nature such as insects, to design bio-inspired robotic systems capable of adaptive and efficient movement. The presentations highlighted how studying natural organisms helps engineers develop better robotic mechanisms and control strategies.

The visit concluded with a guided tour of the facilities at the VISTEC IST Robotics Laboratory, where visitors had the opportunity to explore ongoing research projects and learn more about the laboratory’s work in bio-inspired robotics.
