On 13th November 2025, we were delighted to welcome visitors from the School of Architecture and Design (SOA+D), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) to our Robotics Studio.
During the visit, Mr. Thirawat Chuthong (Ph.D. student) delivered an engaging presentation introducing the laboratory’s ongoing research and innovations in bio-inspired robotics. He showcased several robotic platforms inspired by nature, including the stick insect robot and the cockroach robot, which demonstrate adaptive and efficient locomotion strategies.
In addition to bio-inspired systems, the presentation also featured industrial robots, such as drones and inspection robots, highlighting their applications in real-world environments. Furthermore, the session concluded with an introduction to medical robotics, focusing on an exoskeleton robot designed to support rehabilitation and human movement assistance.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity to share insights into the lab’s interdisciplinary work bridging biology, robotics, and human-centered design.
