On June 28, 2025, Professor Dr. Poramate Manoonpong delivered an inspiring keynote at SCB Challenge #20, held at the National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (NECTEC). Addressing enthusiastic students from across Thailand, he presented our laboratory’s pioneering research in Embodied AI, Bio-inspired AI, and Biological Intelligence.
In his talk, Professor Poramate showed how principles from nature drive innovative engineering, underscoring curiosity and creativity as essential qualities for scientists and engineers. He highlighted the need for adaptability amid rapid AI progress and urged students to cultivate interdisciplinary skills to thrive in an ever-evolving technological landscape.

To bring these ideas to life, our team showcased two of the lab’s advanced robotic systems:
- Back Mirror – a stick-insect-inspired walking robot
- Slalom – a gecko-inspired climbing robot
Live demonstrations by Ph.D. candidate Mr. Thirawat Chuthong and postdoctoral researcher Dr. Worasuchad Haomachai gave students an up-close look at the dynamic research opportunities in our lab.

Events like SCB Challenge #20 at NECTEC play a crucial role in inspiring future innovators, and we are proud to contribute to this mission by sharing our work with the next generation of scientific minds.
