The robotics research team of VISTEC visited Adaptive Robotic Laboratory at Osaka Institute of Technology. On June 12th, Assistant Prof. Photchara RATSAMEE provided us with a lab tour and a research presentation and engaged in a discussion regarding possible research collaboration. Their research group focuses on adaptive robotics, robot vision, artificial intelligence, and human-robot Interaction. we believe that ability to adapt to complex environments is a key success for an intelligent robot/system. Specifically, we mainly work on adaptive sensing, adaptive interface, and adaptive control with the goal to enable robots to operate efficiently in a wide range of environments. We conduct research on a wide range of robot platforms, such as legged robots, aerial robots, and aquatic robots.
