Efficiency ImpRovEment through FIred Heater/FurNace ClEaning (REFINE)
One prevalent issue encountered in fired heaters/furnaces pertains to the accumulation of scale on external radiant tubes. The presence of scale has a notable impact on the operational efficiency of the furnace. Conventional cleaning methods, reliant on manual skills, often result in inefficiency against hard deposits and limitations in accessing certain areas. Consequently, the exploration of cleaning robots emerges as a pivotal consideration. They offer a safer, more efficient, and consistently thorough cleaning process, thereby promising enhanced furnace performance and energy-saving benefits. According to the pain points, REFINE aims to first explore and later develop robotic technology to improve the descaling/cleaning process.
