Guest Talk on Designing Human–Physical Agent Interaction for Learning

On January 15, 2025, we were pleased to welcome Mr. Panayu Keelawat, a Ph.D. student from Virginia Tech, USA. Mr. Panayu delivered a talk titled “Designing Human–Physical Agent Interaction for Learning”.

In his presentation, he introduced a design framework for haptic devices aimed at safely guiding users during weightlifting exercises. He emphasized key considerations in designing devices that interact closely with humans, particularly with regard to user feedback.

His visit concluded with a tour of the School of Information Science and Technology (IST) and the facilities at the ARIA Center, led by Professor Dr. Poramate Manoonpong.
