Simulation is an interactive, browser-based simulator built by the lab, powered by the MuJoCo physics engine. Pick one of three of BRAIN VISTEC’s real research robots and drive or observe it live, right here in your browser — no install required.
- Gecko: a quadruped with a bending spine, walking with a CPG (central pattern generator) gait.
- MORF: a six-legged robot walking a tripod gait using the gecko’s CPG.
- Red Mirror: a stick-insect-inspired hexapod walking with an open-loop CPG gait.
Each robot runs the lab’s own CPG-based locomotion controller in real time inside the simulation — the same bio-inspired control approach behind the physical robots this research group builds.
Controls: drag to orbit the camera, scroll to zoom, arrow keys or WASD to drive, Q/E to move up/down. Pick a robot from the on-screen menu to get started.
