As artificial intelligence rapidly reshapes our world, a fundamental question emerges: Are you ready to build what comes next, or just follow along?

This Fall 2026, the Institute of Science and Technology (IST) at VISTEC is launching its brand-new graduate course, “Frontiers in Machine Learning”—designed to push the boundaries of modern AI research and practical application.

Taught by the Minds Shaping the Field

Frontiers in Machine Learning brings together all faculty members of IST under a single curriculum to teach our students the following topics:

  • Theoretical Foundations of ML and Evaluation, Metrics, and Benchmarking for ML
  • Computer Vision & World Models
  • Time Series Data Analysis & BCI (Brain-Computer Interfaces)
  • Embodied Motor Control and Learning for Machine Intelligence

Collaborate, Brainstorm, and Innovate.

The course opens with an introduction and high-level discussion on “The Challenges of AI: From Classical AI to World Models and Embodied Intelligence.” Through interactive group tasks, students will brainstorm innovative ideas to address critical AI concerns and apply frontier concepts to solve pressing real-world challenges.
