On April 7, 2025, Prof. Dr. Poramate Manoonpong delivered the keynote address at the 31st International Conference of Young Scientists (ICYS) and the 8th KVIS Invitational Science Fair at KVIS in Rayong, Thailand. He introduced groundbreaking research from the BRAIN laboratory, showcasing advances in robotics intelligence and sharing how nature-inspired designs can lead to real-world technological solutions.
Alongside the keynote, the BRAIN Lab showcased two of its signature robots:
- Back Mirror – a stick insect-inspired walking robot
- Salalom – a gecko-inspired climbing robot
The demonstrations, led by Mr. Thirawat Chuthong (Ph.D. student) and Dr. Worasuchad Haomachai (postdoctoral researcher), gave attendees an up-close look at the robots’ capabilities. They explained how these robots are designed and tested, answered questions about ongoing research, and shared information about the BRAIN Lab’s facilities and academic opportunities.
